I graduated from the University of Bristol in 2018 with a 2.1 in BSc Economics. Following university, I interned at a fintech start-up challenger bank, helping to audit their financial model and at an investment management advisory, where I worked across the Research and Operations teams. I took a break after my 2nd internship to travel across South America to experience new cultures and learn some Spanish. On my return I taught myself the basics of Corporate Finance. I am currently interning at an analytics startup, writing newsletters covering new EU sustainability-related financial regulation, creating decks and brochures for client meetings and working in Excel to create a model that will give a portfolio of investments a score over various environmental, social and governance metrics.

I have gained great numerical ability and analysis skills throughout my degree and internships. My experience in startup environments has honed my ability to adapt across teams and projects as well as strengthened my aptness to be given a task to get on with and complete independently. My experience of being part of sports teams since I was 8 means my team-working skills are second-to-none. Description
At Bourne Park Capital I worked across the Research and Operations teams for 3 months. My main duties included daily risk management tasks; tracking cash positions and margins. I also created and analysed portfolios for clients as well as writing executive summaries on managers and potential investment projects. I sat in on meetings with managers and summarised their market outlook for the investment committee as well as analysing their investments for quarterly and yearly reporting. I also completed ad hoc tasks; including updating presentations for potential clients and sending out monthly marketing reports on MailChimp. I gained great experience across the Microsoft Office Suite (in particular Excel) as well as competent knowledge of Bloomberg and PackHedge (a data management engine). At Kroo I shadowed the CFO and spent most of my time challenging the projections of their financial model prior to their application to become a fully licensed bank. As Kroo is a start-up, I utilised my flexibility and adaptability and worked across teams on various projects including; creating and maintaining their fixed asset register, updating accounts on Xero, reconciliations on payments to service providers and creating customer stories.
