Why Should We Hire You?

I'm a talented Creative Writing Graduate with up to a year's media experience, actively pursuing new challenging opportunities to develop my skills and experience within the field of either publishing, fashion, marketing, or social media. Using the skills I acquired from my B.A. in Creative Writing at Falmouth University, alongside my experience writing digital copy, I supported a start-up company with branding. I helped to articulate their brand archetype and brand voice clearly. Furthermore, I joined Oasis as an intern within the marketing team, where I demonstrated my abilities by producing a publishable product of excellent quality. At University, I was part of the core team that successfully published the book, 'Savage Lovely Cornish Homes' by Xan Brooks in collaboration with the National trust. I typeset the entire book, with illustrations, using Adobe InDesign. I have gained excellent customer and office administration experience from the retail and hospitality sectors. I undertake freelance commissions, writing travel articles for FarawayLucy, as well as modelling various styles such as bridal, lifestyle, jewellery, and swimwear.

Education

09/2016 - 05/2019

 United Kingdom (UK)

Creative Writing

Bachelor Degree (Undergraduate)

Falmouth University

Within my degree, I had the chance to study a variety of modules, including Fiction, Non-Fiction, Screenwriting, Games Writing, Introduction to Publishing, Writing for Children and Young Adult, as well as my final dissertation which was a 10,000-word creative piece. In my final year, I was a part of the student editorial team that worked with the National Trust and author Xan Brooks to publish the short story, Savage Lovely Cornish Homes. I was able to work on the book firsthand, collaborating with the author, illustrators and the like. Everything that went into this book went through us first. We interviewed and chose the illustrator, proofread the manuscript repeatedly, created promotional material, and I took the responsibility of typesetting the entire book using Adobe InDesign.
